A native of Rugby, North Dakota, Dr. Skari graduated from Red River High School and UND in Grand Forks. She knew as early as the seventh grade that she wanted to become a dentist, as she loved her visits to the orthodontist so much that it led her down the path to dentistry. In 2001, she received her DDS from the University of Minnesota and started practicing dentistry immediately after and has never looked back. She loves the field and is passionate about every smile she helps create.
Dr. Skari started training at the prestigious Pankey Institute shortly after she started practicing. After completing that curriculum, she has continued to do extensive training and learning at Spear Education. As a firm believer in life-long learning, she continues to be involved in various continuing education programs, such as small group study clubs, lectures, and hands-on workshops. She considers herself blessed to have wonderful and supportive colleagues, mentors, and teachers in the field of dentistry.
She sets a high standard of care at her office and takes her time with each patient. According to her, she “gets to know people as people,” which elevates them beyond just her patients, and she can remember specific things about each unique patient. To Dr. Skari, everyone in her office is part of a dedicated team striving to create the optimal oral health and beautiful smiles that her patients deserve, including keeping them involved and active in their care. At her office, she institutes a focus on prevention and comprehensive care, along with patient education.
When she’s not in the office, her life revolves more around the schedule of her two children, Kaleb and Quinn. She often volunteers with her children’s activities and church events and loves to cook, read, do yoga and exercise, and relax at the lake cabin with her husband, Kurt.
