If a traditional filling won’t work, due to the large size of the cavity or moderate amounts of decay, we may suggest inlay or onlay restorations. Crafted from high-quality porcelain, these restorations can strengthen the structural integrity of your tooth, and typically don’t need a dental crown for additional support. Inlays sit over the top biting surface of the tooth, up to the cusps, and onlays go a bit further by covering the cusps and the outer surface of the tooth.
